One of the greatest things about the human body is, that with persistently hard work, you are able to sculpt yourself anyway you want.  It’s an impressive thing to achieve that, and the world will see it too.

A great sense of achievement

We all know that nothing is easier than sitting around doing nothing, binge watching a TV series, and eating junk food.  Add scrolling endlessly on Social Media or Reels to that list too!

Instead, if you motivate yourself to get off the sofa, set out a time to challenge yourself, to put yourself in the trenches, that is something noteworthy!

Making better decisions with your eating habits

Let’s face it, most food that you find on Supermarket shelves or fast food restaurants are not the least bit worth of putting in your body.  Most of these foods are highly processed, mass produced and loaded with numerous chemicals, agents & preservatives.  They are tailor made to be ‘tasty’ and be craved for by shoppers with the sole intention of making big profits.

Another advantage you get once you start exercising is that you will get more interested in educating yourself about what you eat on a day to day basis.  Hence, you will start counting the calories, checking the proteins, the carbs and the nutrients.  Consequently, you will try your best to eat as healthily as possible.

You will know when it’s the time to eat that ‘celebratory’ Pizza and when it is not.  This is because you know that you are investing a considerable time of your life to work on yourself to be fit. Because of this, you know that junk food is something that needs moderation, and you will be self-disciplined because of that.

Working out regularly can easily make you prevent this situation in the first place. This is because exercising activates the neurotransmitter dopamine also referred to as the ‘happy hormone’ as well as serotonin. Both of which could help immensely at fighting against stress, anxiety & depression.
